Combe Mill – February 2016

The Cubs visited Combe Mill in February, and learnt all about the history of the Mill. After a tour, we were given the chance to make fire pokers.

We each started with a straight iron bar, and had to curve one end (for the handle), and flatten and twist the other (for the ‘fire poking’ end). It was hard work, but everyone managed to make one!

Combe Mill is a very interesting place, and often holds steaming events, where you can look around and participate in activities. For more information, see their website.
