Endeavour Scout Troop
Scouts is the third Section in Scouting after Beavers and Cubs. The age range for Scouts is ten and a half years through to fourteen years. We meet every Thursday within the terms time of West Oxfordshire Schools at the North Leigh C of E Primary School Hall or in our amazing private woodland in the village.
We are a growing Troop, currently with 23 Scouts in our Troop and more joining us soon. We have a mix of boys and girls in our Troop and we all get along really well. We are proud of our ethos and promise to true original scouting. If we can get outside and practice core scouting skills like camping, open fire cooking, fire making, pioneering, orienteering and having loads of fun; normally that is where you will find us!
What we get up to!
We aim to have lots of fun whilst learning core skills within Scouting such as fire-lighting, tent pitching, first-aid, knot tying, map reading and orienteering, hiking and outside cooking on real fires. In North Leigh we are fortunate enough to have excellent community links that afford us access to private woodlands along with amazing open countryside on our doorstep.
We go camping lots and lots, no matter what the time of year is! In fact, we love camping and being outside. Whatever the weather, dark or light, you will find us having fun outside and this usually includes camping or a camp fire.
We go to CPCW every year (County Patrol Camping Weekend). We have won this a number of times in the past and are very proud of our successes.

Our Leader Team is made up of a wealth of scouting experience and knowledge, several with children in Scouting either in Beavers, Cubs or Scouts in our Group or other local Groups. We provided a Balanced Program for our Scouts to follow that includes a wide range of activities and outdoor events.
