This week is National Gardening week, so what better week is it to do our Gardener Activity Badge?
We started off in the woods looking for the mini beasts that are important for our gardens and outdoor spaces.
We learnt about what seasons are best to grow a selection of fruits and vegetables and talked about what it is about those seasons that make them the right time to grow the fruit and vegetables. We talked about what tools you need to garden and how to use them safely.
We planted some Basil and Coriander in some pots and made a label for them. The cubs now have the challenge of looking after them for the next few months.
Hopefully they will all be green fingered and grow a lovely bunch of basil and coriander!
