What an amazing Group Day we had this year at Youlbury!
Thank you to all our young people who attended, to all their parents who came along, especially those who got stuck in helping, and to all our leaders and young leaders who made the day so memorable. Thank you especially to Alison and Lucy (aka Windmill Cubs’ Akela and Kaa) for organising the event and to Steve (Alison’s poor husband who gets dragged into every scouting event!) for all you did behind the scenes.
We spent the morning doing some exciting adventurous activities, then after a nice picnic lunch, we spent the afternoon playing the Trading Game – Lucy, thanks, it was brilliant! After that, we had a burger or hot dog supper, followed by a quick sing around the camp fire – an absolute must for any scout group!
Well done to all of the young members of the Mighty, Mighty 1st North Leigh Scout Group, we are really very proud of you all!
Here are some photos from the day. If there are any that you particularly like, we have better quality versions of most of them – do please ask.
