We usually do the same activities in the two groups we split into, but this week half of the Cubs did their cyclist badge, and the other half did their athletics badge, then the following week we swapped over.
Our Group Chairman, Jeremy, very kindly ran the cyclist activity badge for us. He bought in his bike and talked us through the different parts of the bike, how to change a tyre, and how to stay safe when cycling.
Jeremy next set up a small course for the Cubs to have a go at, and they all did an excellent job of it, with all of the cones staying intact! They practised turning and signalling as if they were cycling on the road, and everyone got it after a couple of tries.
Thank you to Jeremy for spending a couple of evenings with us, the Cubs had great fun and all earnt their cyclist activity badge!
