Independence Day – July

Only late by a week, the Cubs ended the summer term by celebrating July 4th (on July 11th), and learnt about Cubs in the USA. For example, they learnt that Cubs in the USA have different coloured neckers and names according to their age, rather than their pack like we do in the UK.

They also made fruit skewers, keeping to the theme of ‘red, white and blue’ by using star cutters and a range of fruits.

To top it off in traditional American style, we finished with party food!

We hope you’ve had a good summer, and are now refreshed and ready to get stuck in to all of the exciting activities we have planned for you this term!
