This week the beavers have been working on requirement 2 of their Digital Maker Badge – create a graphic for a computer game, app, or website. This could be a background scene, character, or other image.
We decided to use Scratch, the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations.
Badger decided to set each lodge the task of creating a juming game. This was the example given to the beavers:
Every beavers contributed to their lodge’s creation and we also managed to play quite a few games while we were waiting for our turns on the laptops.
Here are videos of what each lodge achieved and I am sure that you will agree that they have more than met what was needed to achieve the requirement stated above
Well done beavers, I am pretty sure that we have a future Ada Lovelace or Charles Babbage among our ranks!
