This week we went on a Stick Story Hike as part of our Explorers Badge.
A big thank you to Ant for organising the session. This is the last time that we will be out on a dark evening for some time now and it was a really enjoyable time.
From the off, the beavers collected things that they found in the field and the woodland to add to their sticks and to be able to tell the story of what they had found. There were lots of cones and some beautiful feathers. We saw a barn owl flying across the field and we even learnt a few life lessons, such as, if you are going to collect stinging nettles it is a good idea to also collect a dock leaf for later use.
As always, the beavers were brilliant and entered into the spirit of the occasion and, hopefully, all our parents enjoyed hearing the stick stories from their children!
