Beavers – Japanese Fish Kites

This week we made Japanese Fish Kites and we also made origami fish!

Japanese carp kites, or koinobori, are a tradition, started by samurai families, symbolising strength, courage, and perseverance. Today, koinobori are a central element of Children’s Day festivities, symbolising the hopes and dreams parents have for their children’s future success and happiness.

A really big thank you and well done to Hedgehog who led a great sessionWe had great fun slapping on lots of paint and enjoyed the challenge of putting everything together.
