This week we worked on our Space Badge!
A really big thank you and well done to Owl who led a great session to help us to achieve almost all of our Space Badge. We started with a wild game of Asteroid ball tag to burn off some energy. Here are some images and a video of the game:
Each lodge then circulated between 4 workstations looking at the relative size of the planets using different pieces of fruit, learning about constellations and going outside to look at the moon and stars through two telescopes.
The fruit that was used to represent the relative size of the planets was: Mercury (pea), Venus (cherry tomato), Earth (strawberry), Mars (blueberry), Jupiter (water melon), Saturn (honeydew melon), Uranus (apple), Neptune (lime).
