Group Day 2022 was held on Saturday, 10th September at the Youlbury Scout Activity Centre. The weather was pretty much perfect for the activities and everyone had a great time. After a period of silence in honour of the Queen, we spent the morning with everyone doing 2 adventurous activities.
After a packed lunch, we split everyone into mixed group of beavers, cubs and scouts and two groups of parents. Yes, this year, we invited the parents along to the afternoon activities and we were really pleased that quite a few came along. They would never admit it, but we believe that they had as much fun as their children – until they helped us clear away all the greasy pans at the end of the day – yeeeeeuck! All our groups rotated through five ‘scouting’ activities, some of them contributing toward activity badges.
A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to help set up, run and clear away; it was hard work but really worthwhile.
