We are really proud that our Windmill Cubs Leadership Team has received a Covid-19 ‘Witney Hero’ award.

Taking nothing away from Windmill Cubs but in every way bringing all of our sections up to the same level, every section and every one of our volunteer North Leigh Scout Group leaders has gone above and beyond, demonstrating huge commitment, flexibility and ingenuity to support our young people during this unprecedented period. The online meetings have presented a completely different set of challenges to our leaders, who signed up expecting to meet face-to-face with their young members. It takes a very different set of communication and organisational skills to keep the beavers, cubs and scouts entertained online and our leaders have risen to the challenges superbly. We consider all of our leaders to be more than worthy recipients of this recognition from Witney Town Council.
We thank all of our parents and guardians for continuing to support our group but would like to express a really special thank you to the kind parent who recognised the work of the Windmill Cubs Leadership Team and who took the time to nominate them for this wonderful award.
