Mini-Challenge Night (Face to Face at Last!)

After a long long loooong time, we’re finally back and meeting face to face!! Last time we met in person was back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so it was really nice to be able to see each other again!

Obviously our meetings will be a bit different to what we’re used to at the moment – we have to meet outside for now in two separate groups, we have to use hand sanitiser regularly, and we all have to stay 2m apart. We end up doing a bit of a dance to keep to this!, but all of the Cubs have done excellently so far!

To help the Cubs visualise how far 2m is, we used pool noodles, as when their arms are outstretched the end of the noodle is 2m away. We ran around the field waving the noodles around, keeping our distance from each other – if the noodle hit you, you’re too close!

It was great fun to be out in the fresh air being silly and having fun! I can’t wait for next week!

Next we had an assortment of challenges – how long can you balance the noodle on your head and can you skip with the noodle among others.
