1st North Leigh Endeavour Scout Troop cook Pigeon in the Woodland
We like to challenge our Scouts and push their boundaries and senses to new levels. With this in mind, the Leader Team decided that we would show the scouts how to prepare pigeons without using a knife or any other tools in a woodland setting.
All of our scouts really embraced this challenge and got stuck in, stripping the pigeon breast from the pigeon and preparing it ready to cook.
The favourite of the evening was our chef inspired Rosemary Branch kebabs closely followed by the plain and simple, lightly seasoned pigeons breast by itself. The taste was extremely gamely but we all had a great time and can’t wait to do it all again soon, but it will probably be rabbit next time.
