This week the Beavers went to Sophie’s Woodland to cook s’mores. They managed to toast their marshmallows on the fire, with many of them cooked to perfection and very few dropped in the fire!
Once the marshmallows were toasted, they were then placed in between two chocolate digestives, and were ready to eat! (Even the leaders had a go!)
After everyone was full up, we sang some campfire songs, and some of the Beavers even led a couple of the songs.
What’s great is that toasting marshmallows goes towards the Adventure Challenge Award and the Camp Craft Activity Badge, singing campfire songs goes towards the Skills Challenge Award, and both activities go towards the Outdoor Challenge Award.
Everyone had a really good time, and decided that they’d love to make the s’mores again!
